Feel good news from Flagship
23rd January 2012Winning Awards
We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for the new ‘Golden Hedgehog Awards,’ a new awards programme run by PR moment and sponsored by Precise and the PRCA.
Our work on the English Language Day ‘Location Lingo’ campaign has been nominated. The campaign is shortlisted for the Media Relations of the Year award and focuses on helping the client, education charity The English Project, to encourage the UK public to actively participate in ‘English Language Day’ by submitting their favourite examples of ‘Location Lingo’ (local place name nicknames). To find out more about the campaign, read our case study here.
New Recruit
We welcomed a new recruit just before Christmas, Ellie Swift, who joins us as a Trainee Account Executive. Ellie studied Public Relations and Journalism at Curtin University in Western Australia. She then went on to work as the Public Relations and Marketing Assistant for the Property Council. At Flagship, Ellie currently works across digital and traditional PR for the DLR, Visit Winchester, trendence and Malaria No More.
Overwhelming response to Start-up PR offer
In November 2011 we ran a competition for start-up PR support with a major entrepreneurial network. We had a huge response to the competition, with entrants identifying PR as a key tool to drive their business forward. There were New Year celebrations for two winners chosen from over 200 small businesses. The two winners who will now receive start-up PR support are fashion company ‘Not Pink’ and riding club ‘Shetland Pony Club’. Read more about these here.
